Can massage therapy help frozen shoulder?
Massage therapy and routine stretches can significantly improve your pain associated with frozen shoulder syndrome.
By increasing blood flow to the area, your muscles can relax and inflammation will improve.
This can reduce swelling and tenderness, not just in the shoulder, but also in the surrounding area.

The difference between a sprain and a strain is that a sprain injures the bands of tissue that connect two bones together, while a strain involves an injury to a muscle or to the band of tissue that attaches a muscle to a bone.
Initial treatment includes rest, ice, compression and elevation. You have pain, tenderness or weakness – often around your ankle, foot, wrist, thumb, knee, leg or back. The injured area is swollen or bruised you cannot put weight on the injury or use it normally, you have muscle spasms or cramping – where your muscles painfully tighten on their own.

Strains
Overstretched or torn muscle (also known as a pulled muscle) Most common in: knees, feet, legs, back

Sprains
Torn or twisted ligament (tissue that connects the joints)Most common in: wrists, ankles, thumbs, knees
Therapeutic massage helps loosen tight muscles and increase blood flow to help heal damaged tissues. Applying pressure to the injured muscle tissue also helps remove excess fluid and cellular waste products.

Trigger point therapy works by releasing tension held in tight knots of muscle. And any type of bodywork that stimulates circulation helps ease and prevent headaches.

Myofascial trigger points, also known as trigger points, are described as hyperirritable spots in the skeletal muscle. They are associated with palpable nodules in taut bands of muscle fibers.
A trigger point causes referral pain to other parts of the body and usually originates from a constricted area within the muscle tissue. Muscle knots either can be painful upon touch or can cause persistent pain around a specific area on your body. Trigger point massage uses cycles of isolated pressure and releases to alleviate the source of pain. The pain around a muscle knot can either be a dull ache or sharp and intense. Trigger point massage aims to ease the tension around constricted areas in the muscles to reduce inflammation and alleviate pain.
They result from improper care of the body, including:
A sedentary lifestyle
Poor diet
Dehydration
Too much stress
Not enough sleep
Over-exercising

Trigger point massage involves deep muscle work, particularly in areas of the body that cause you pain. That being said, you can expect a bit of discomfort during and for a few days after the massage.
